iCE-CInno 2026

1. Terms of Participation
a. This competition is open to all interested participants from the eligible categories listed in Section 2. Each group is required to produce their own original ideas of inventions by implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

b. Submission must be original work including presentable idea, prototype, product, software, hardware or research work that utilizes AI technology as its core component.

c. By participating, iCE-CInno UMPSA has the right to use their submitted material (videos, documentation, images) for promotional, education and internal purposes (without additional compensation).

d. All participants are expected to uphold professional and ethical conduct throughout the competition. Any form of misconduct, cheating, harassment, or disruptive behavior may result in immediate disqualification.

e. Participants from Primary School (PS) and Secondary School (SS) categories must be accompanied or supported by a teacher advisor. The teacher advisor is counted within the group size.
 
2. Registration and Payment
a. All entrants must select a competition category in accordance with their eligibility, as shown in the table below:

Note: International participants (IT) may include students or professionals from any institution outside Malaysia.

b. Group Size: Each group must consist a maximum of 5 members. For PS and SS categories, a maximum of 6 members is allowed, inclusive of one (1) teacher advisor.

c. Minimum age must be above 7 years old.

d. Registration is a two-stage process:

    i. Stage 1 — Abstract Submission: Complete the registration form available on the official website and upload your project abstract. No payment is required at this stage.

    ii. Stage 2 — Full Submission & Payment: Upon abstract approval, an official email containing your Project ID and Final Submission Form link will be sent to your registered email. Use this link to submit your project video, poster, and extended abstract, and proceed with full payment.

e. Once all registration fees paid are strictly non-refundable, regardless of withdrawal or disqualification.

f. If a project abstract is rejected, the group will be notified via email and will be given one (1) opportunity to revise and resubmit their abstract. No further resubmission will be entertained after the second attempt.

g. Late registration or payment submitted after the stipulated deadline may not be accepted. Participants are advised to monitor all official communications and deadlines closely.

h. Participants must ensure that all information provided during registration is accurate and truthful. Any fraudulent or misleading information will result in immediate disqualification.
 
3. Code of Ethics
a. Submissions must be original and not violate copyright. Previously developed projects are allowed only if they include significant improvements or enhancements. Plagiarism or misrepresentation will lead to disqualification.

b. Submissions must not have content that provokes public sensitivity or contains values contrary to morality.

c. Participants must not misuse AI-generated content as their own original contribution. All AI tools or resources used in the project must be disclosed in the submission documentation.
 
4. Terms of Provision of Project and Completeness
a. All details and files submitted in the registration and final submission forms, including the project abstract, video, poster, and extended abstract, will be accepted as submitted. The Organising Committee shall not be held responsible for any errors in content submitted by participants.

b. Participants must strictly follow all guidelines provided for each submission component (abstract, video, poster, extended abstract). All guidelines are available on the official website at icecinno.umpsa.edu.my.

c. The project video and poster presentation must be conducted in Malay or English language. Presenters must be prepared to answer questions from the judging panel in the chosen language.

d. Submissions received after the stipulated deadline will not be accepted, and no extension will be granted unless officially announced by the Organising Committee.

e. The Organising Committee shall not be held responsible for any translation errors or wording discrepancies in descriptions published in the competition proceedings or website.
 
5. Certificates, Awards and Prizes
a. The maximum score for each submission is 100%. Judging criteria and scoring rubrics will be made available on the official website.

b. Each participating group is eligible to win Gold, Silver, or Bronze awards based on their total scores as determined by the judging panel.

c. Decisions of the judging panel are final and binding. No appeal, query, or correspondence regarding the results will be entertained.

d. All registered participants who complete their submission will receive a Certificate of Participation. Award certificates (Gold, Silver, Bronze) will be issued to winning groups only.

e. Teams must ensure all group members comply with registration and submission deadlines. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from awards and prizes.

f. Any prizes or awards are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash unless stated otherwise by the Organising Committee.
 
6. Changes to Registration Details
a. Any changes to the names or number of participants within a group must be notified by the Organizing Committee in writing no later than three (3) weeks prior to the competition date.

b. Changes to the project title or competition category are not permitted after the abstract submission closing date.

c. All changes are subject to approval by the Organizing Committee and must be submitted via the official competition email.
 
7. Liability and General Provisions
a. The Organising Committee and UMPSA shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense incurred by participants in connection with their participation in iCE-CInno 2026, including travel, accommodation, and personal expenses.

b. All participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and any other personal arrangements related to their participation.

c. The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend, update, or supplement these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any updates will be published on the official website and shall be binding upon all participants.

d. The Organising Committee reserves the right to disqualify any group that violates these Terms & Conditions or engages in conduct deemed detrimental to the competition's integrity.

e. These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
