JUDGES

The judges for the International Competition and Exhibition on Computing Innovation (iCE-CInno 2016) are comprised of professionals and educators in Computing and Computing -related areas. They have been drawn from various levels of government agencies, educational institutions, and private enterprises. Wherever possible, a judge’s expertise or area of specialty will be considered in assigning projects to be evaluated. Each project is to be evaluated by at least three judges.

JUDGING CRITERIA

Marks will be awarded as follows:

• Innovation (25%)

• A project involving the development and evaluation of innovative devices, models, techniques, or approaches in computing (both hardware and software).
• The participant can present his/her invention’s features, functions and structures completely and clearly.

• Commercialization and Marketability (20%)

• Estimation of the new product’s future expanding sales potential, including regions, quantity, amount, etc.

• Performance and Practicality (15%)

• Simple using operations, consideration of safety and environmental concerns, easy maintenance, compatibility with a variety of systems, easy to expand peripheral considerations, energy saving consumption.
• Aesthetic (15%)
• Shape, color and color matching performance, product series performance, corporate identity, system performance, materials usage, user-friendly interface and operation.

• Presentation (25%)

• This part of the evaluation deals with the presentation of the information. There are several aspects involved in the presentation:

The overall display should be attractive, interesting, forthright, clear, organized and complete.

Reports, models and data should be organized, purposeful, easy to view, inviting, exciting and effective.

The exhibitor should be able to present the project in a comprehensive and enthusiastic manner. This includes demonstration, reference to data, books, research materials, models and the display in general.
